How to Sync Experian QAS Database Layout Configuration between Environments

If you use QAS (product of Experian) for address validation, you may want to migrate your layout configuration from one environment to another.  I recently ran into this and was given the following instructions from QAS support.

To clarify, the configuration in the above screen is what we will be migrating.

Stop the QAS service

Determine which environment has the correct configuration (ie. Source environment).  Browse the file system in that environment, locate the Qawserve.ini file and open it in a text editor.

Determine which environment has the incorrect configuration (ie. Target environment).  Browse the file system in that environment, locate the Qawserve.ini file and open it in a text editor.

In the file from the source environment, highlight and copy everything under the given layout heading and paste under the same layout heading in the target file.

Save the target file

Start the QAS service
